"I'm comin' mom!" I called. I slammed my hand against the OFF button on my radio. I went up to my mirror stand and posed and twirled in front of it. I was wearing a bright red dress. You know, the kind of red you can see a mile away in the middle of a snowstorm. The dress fell to about my knees, and it was very beautiful. Mental Checklist. Dress. Of Course. Ruby pendant necklace. Check. Earrings that match the necklace. Check. Peppermint perfume. Check. Candy cane lip-gloss. Check. Hair. Finely and delicately tousled and conditioned. Mistletoe headpiece-
"Dang it!" I ran over to my dresser, where my mistletoe headpiece lay. It was made of actual mistletoe, and it was only meant to last tonight. I wove the stem of the mistletoe into my hair.
